Choose WMA bitrate channels and rate for the actual receiver

A WMA rate, channel arrangement, sample rate, and duration should follow the application that will play it. A compact WMA may fit a legacy transfer or library, while another Windows Media workflow may expect a different profile. If the file is too large, review target rate, duration, and channels. If it ends early, revise the planned MOD render length. Changing unrelated metadata does not solve those problems.

Download the file and open it in the intended player, device, or application. Check title information if relevant, song start, pattern transitions, stereo balance, duration, late seeking, and endpoint. A general desktop player may have decoders that the recipient lacks, so it is only a preliminary check.
